Having a child with a severe medical condition or illness can be isolating. Often times we don't know what to do, what to say, or don't want to bother families as they navigate these difficult times. Those feelings can become even more overwhelming when the situation turns to end-of-life care. The crazy thing about illness and dying is that it happens while we are still very much alive.
I want to celebrate the lives of these families by providing them with the tools and encouragement to cope so their children can continue being their magical selves no matter what the state of their health or the number of breaths they have left.
My fundraiser will focus on providing supplies and activities for the Crescent Cove families and patients so they can spend their children's lives playing, laughing, creating, growing and living as much as every child should.
I set my goal at $1 because I want this to be about more than money. The goal is not to reach for some lofty number but to come together with full hearts and be #ChampionsOfChildhood, in all its forms.
